The topic presented every two weeks reflects the guidance received from practicing the fourteen daily lessons covered in A Course in Miracles. The ACIM teachings are relevant to the practice of EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) to help open the mind to receive healing.
Below are the EFT Radio shows; January to March, 2014; a total of six. If you have questions or comments contact me. I would love to hear from you!
Laws of Attraction with EFT Tapping and A Course in Miracles
January 17, 2014, 12 noon PST
Does it feel like you don’t get what you want? Or when you do, it just doesn’t bring the fulfillment you had hoped for? What if the external world cannot offer a permanent solution to your fears of lack and feelings of emptiness and so you seek but never find?
In this program we explore another way where finding is assured. It is an internal approach from a different perspective. It can help us transcend beliefs and time. A Course in Miracles says that all of our beliefs are rooted in the idea of time.
Time, however, is limited. Eternity is not. What if a new perception of ourselves based on the idea of eternity and Truth can help us see that we inherently lack nothing and are always getting what we want even when it appears like we are not?
You may ask, “But how can something only appear to be true, and not really be true?” The problem is that we are undecided about what we want to believe. For this reason, we try to hold on to contradictory beliefs.
For example, we want to believe the attraction law that says we have the power to attract everything that shows up in our life; but when we don’t like what shows up, we want to deny this power and believe we are powerless victims of external forces. Two contradictory beliefs cannot both be true!
Perception vs Reality: A Course in Miracles Lessons 18-32
January 31, 2014
What does perception mean? Is it showing us reality?
A Course in Miracles teaches that “I see nothing as it is now.” It also says that we are not upset for the reason we think.
As an EFT practitioner I know how true this is. I start tapping with one perception of why I am angry. When done, I see the situation completely different, without anger. This transformation of our way of seeing is why I do EFT tapping: because, “I am determined to see things differently.” (Lesson 21).
"You respond to what you perceive, and as you perceive so shall you behave. The Golden Rule asks you to do unto others as you would have them do unto you. This means that the perception of both must be accurate…You cannot behave appropriately unless you perceive correctly."
My "problem" is a misperception. When I release past and future associations, I see accurately, and the problem is gone. The Light of Truth, or Holy Spirit, in our mind, has the power to correct misperceptions.
The Holy Spirit begins by perceiving you as perfect, knowing this perfection is shared He recognizes it in others, thus strengthening it in both. Instead of anger this arouses love for both, because it establishes inclusion.
Perception can either lead us to joining and love; or separation and fear. One accurately reflects divine reality; the other miscreates a world where vulnerability and conflict are seen as normal and real.
Reality and perception are not in opposition as the title implies. Reality is all there is. Perception paints over the masterpiece with invisible paint, hiding it. But invisible paint can’t hide anything! We recognize this when we wake up to reality.
The Final Answer with A Course in Miracles
February 14, 2014
Nobody wants to be lonely. Perhaps you have “failed” in relationships or have yet to be in one. So you believe the answer to the longing of your lonely soul is another lonely soul "out there". You just need to find “her” or “him”, your ideal mate, the one that will fill your deep sense of lack with sex, companionship, total acceptance and more importantly, self-worth.
This approach looks for an answer outside of your self assuming the cause is also outside, forgetting that the mind is the only causal level; a perception of how we see our self in relationship to other selves.
ACIM says the perceiver is not separate from what he perceives. If he perceives lack, he will see himself lacking. Wholeness can only be restored to awareness through holy vision.
Holy vision is “another way of looking at the world” (Lesson 33) and therefore, of seeing ourselves. We are asked to see through the eyes of forgiveness.
Holy vision heals the separation we feel from one another. It is the final answer to why I am so lonely.
It “represents a very different view of yourself. By establishing your Source it establishes your Identity and it describes you as you must really be in truth (holy).” Lessons 32-46 begin to undo a belief system based on separation and lack because holiness is unlimited in its power. “Through your holiness the power of God is made manifest. And there is nothing the power of God cannot do.”
All power belongs to our Creator, our mind shares in it because it is not separate from Source and will “eventually overcome completely the sense of loneliness and abandonment all the separated ones experience."
Power of Mind: Creating vs Self-image
with A Course in Miracles
February 28, 2014
The source of the power of mind is creative. It is infinite in power and eternal and called by many names: God, Universe, Higher Mind, etc.
Mind creates by extending or sharing this creative power. We are the created and therefore creative; our mind shares in the likeness and power of its Source. A separate mind could not share in this power.
Because we see a world of lack, separation, fear and death, our mind must be misrepresenting its Self. ACIM calls this miscreating or illusion: believing in a false self-image of what we are, one that is limited, weak and subject to destruction and pain.
When we experience scarcity in heath, wealth and/or love, we are reflecting the belief we are capable of lack, and a small separate and limited self. and therefore denying our wholeness and true Source of power. “If you are trusting in your own strength, you have every reason to be apprehensive, anxious and fearful.” Lesson 47.
The healing of our mind, and the world, results from releasing false beliefs about our Self: created whole and perfect (holy). “The part of your mind in which truth abides is in constant communication with God, whether you are aware of it or not. The part that is listening to the Voice for God is calm, always at rest and wholly certain. It is really the only part there is.” Lesson 49.
In this program we will try to reach this part of our mind. We will be using Lessons 47-60 of ACIM, EFT to listen in deep silence opening our mind to be guided to our real home.
What is forgiveness?
Can it Bring Peace Love Happiness?
Lessons 61-74 ACIM
March 14, 2014
When we see ourselves as separate from each other, we are not recognizing we share one Source that created us as one Self/Son. What we see is separate bodies that can hurt one another.
Because we don’t recognize that what we perceive is not separate from us, the perceiver, we believe that the world, those we see outside of us, can be in opposition to us and our self-interests; and that they have the power to hurt or make us happy.
By default this implies that the solution/answer to our problems and safety fears are also separate and outside of us, in the hands of others, and circumstance that we cannot control, and so we feel scarred and powerless.
A Course in Miracles offers us the answer to our hurt and powerlessness: forgiveness.
It equates forgiveness to happiness and love because in connecting to the Light within we are able to release the judgment that others have or can hurt us.
In our Light connection we recognize the Truth of our identity as Oneness; with Source and each other. Here we assume charge of our happiness because we can let go of the grievances that are the source of our pain.
Forgiveness is how we connect and exercise our inherent power of Love. It releases us from believing we are victims or perpetrators, offering us the freedom to choose love in all circumstances and experience happiness and safety.
This means that answers to our problems and safety fears are outside of us, in the hands of others, and circumstance that we cannot control, and we feel scarred and powerless.
A Course in Miracles offers us the solution to our hurt and powerlessness: forgiveness.
ACIM Lesson 68: “You who were created by love like itself can hold no grievances and know your Self. To hold a grievance is to forget who you are.”
Miracle Healing with A Course in Miracles
March 28, 2014
Miracles heal because they correct the thinking and perception that tells us we are separate from others, the world and our Creator. A Course in Miracles teaches that this thinking is the only problem beneath the apparent multitude of different ones. It is the problem of body/ego identification, which places us under the direction of ego-made laws and in opposition to each other for survival.
The miracle is the result of our mind’s choice to love and seek only truth, forgiving all grievances. It undoes the ego's thought system and heals our mind. “Perhaps it is not yet quite clear to you that each decision that you make is one between a grievance and a miracle.” Lesson 78.
The miracle is what shows us that our thinking has been corrected and our Oneness made clear. It is fundamentally a change of mind that unites us with others and heals the perceived separation. Our true identity of wholeness as the Son of God is then accepted.
“Your claim to miracles does not lie in your illusions about yourself. It does not depend on any magical powers you have ascribed to yourself, nor on any rituals you have devised. It is inherent in the truth of what you are.” Lesson 77, ACIM.
